Osteopathic Manual Therapy

Two of the primary principles that are at the foundation of Osteopathy are that the body is self-healing and self-regulating, and that the body is one dynamic unit that functions as a whole.  The goal of Osteopathic Manual Therapy (OMT) is to help the body restore health when it has been lost.  An Osteopathic Manual Practitioner will do a thorough assessment of the body as a whole to find out where problems are stemming from in order fix them at their root cause.

OMT is very gentle on the patient and eases the body into correction.  This approach allows the body to better take on the changes and leads to more permanent results.

Osteopathy is suitable for all age groups as it is gentle and noninvasive.  It is very effective in bringing about pain relief caused by a wide range of issues.  It is ideal for rehabilitation after injuries and/or accidents.  Many patients also experience other positive side effects of OMT such as overall improved health, better quality sleep, improved digestion, and increased energy levels to name a few.
